Kalandar, one of the ancient traditions and intangible cultural heritage of the Eastern Black Sea region, was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Trabzon. The celebrations held at Atatürk Square were attended by our Assembly President Nevzat Özer.

The Kalandar event, organized by the Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TTSO) Trabzon EU Information Centre and TOBB Trabzon Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Board, was supported by the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, Ortahisar Municipality, Women Begin Association, and Forum Trabzon. The event saw the participation of Trabzon Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç, Ortahisar Mayor Ahmet Kaya, TTSO President Erkut Çelebi, and numerous citizens.

Following speeches commemorating the occasion, the program continued with theatrical and folk dance performances. Stalls set up in the area offered citizens treats like bagels and tea, desserts, and Kalandar gift bags, along with distributed gifts.
